Pinkfresh Studio February Challenge
Hey friends! It's time for a new Pinkfresh challenge!!
As always, at the beginning of the new month, a new challenge is launched on the Pinkfresh Studio website where all creatives are invited to participate. The theme for the month of February is Stripes and Plaids and the chosen color combo is inspired by the new Flower Market collection, released in mid-January.
Come sempre, all'inizio del nuovo mese, viene indetto un nuovo challenge sul sito di Pinkfresh Studio dove tutti i creativi sono invitati a partecipare. Il tema del mese di febbraio è Strisce e Plaid e la combo colori scelta è ispirata alla nuova collezione Flower Market, uscita a metà gennaio.
If you're new here, my name is Angela Tombari, aka NG and this is my blog I Need Confetti, where I share my passion for memory keeping, card making and paper crafts in general. This is my take on February challenge and, as you can see, I used all the colors coming in Flower Market collection. In particular, I used a paper with a pattern of many colored stripes called Palette. I had fun cutting out all these strips to build the decorative theme of the layout.

Se sei nuovo qui, io sono Angela Tombari e questo è il mio blog I Need Confetti, dove condivido la mia passione per il memory keeping -conservazione dei ricordi- e per il paper craft -artigianato della carta-. Questa è la mia interpretazione della sfida di febbraio e, come puoi vedere, ho utilizzato tutti i colori della collezione Flower Market. In particolare, ho usato un foglio con il disegno di tante strisce colorate che si chiama Palette. Mi sono divertita a ritagliare tutte queste striscioline per costruire il tema decorativo del layout.
As a base of the layout I used another paper from the collection, called Le Jardin. It has a gray floral design on a white background, very detailed and, in my opinion, absolutely gorgeous. I like to use pattern backgrounds instead of the usual white card stock. Le Jardin paper was the perfect choice for the colored composition I wanted to create.
Come base del layout ho usato un altro foglio della collezione, che si chiama Le Jardin. Ha un disegno floreale grigio su sfondo bianco, molto dettagliato e, a mio parere assolutamente meraviglioso. Mi piace usare sfondi pattern al posto dei soliti cartoncini bianchi. Le Jardin era la scelta perfetta per la composizione colorata che volevo realizzare.
As for the composition of the layout, I placed the photo in the middle of the paper, slightly moved to the right. The right side is always the one on which the eye pays more attention.
TIP: If in your layout, you want the photo to stand out, place it on the right side of the composition. If instead you want it to be the title or journaling or a cluster of embellishments, place these on the right!
I arranged the colored strips vertically, on both sides of the photo. Then, I sewed them, forming an horizontal line which, together with the photo, divides the layout. Last, I decorated with die cuts, chipboard frames and puffy stickers.
Per quanto riguarda la composizione del layout, ho posizionato la foto a metà del foglio, leggermente spostata verso destra. La parte destra è sempre quella su cui l'occhio presta maggiore attenzione.
CONSIGLIO: Se nel tuo layout, quello che vuoi fare risaltare è la foto, posizionala sulla destra. Se invece vuoi che sia il titolo o il journaling o un particolare abbellimento, posiziona loro a destra!
Ho disposto in verticale le striscioline colorate, ai due lati della foto. Poi le ho cucite, formando una linea orizzontale che, assieme alla foto, divide il layout. Infine, ho decorato con ritagli, cornicette e puffy stickers.
The title consists of two parts and focal points. One is on top left, with the phrase Take It Easy in blue color. The other one is places at the bottom right and the phrase is Happy Day, this time in orange color. The phrases are vellum die cuts that comes from Flower Market collection. Using these two bold vellum pieces, made the oranges and blues of the strips pop out, making them become the main colors of the layout. Here is the finished layout!
Il titolo si compone di due parti e punti focali. Una è in alto a sinistra, con la frase Take It Easy di colore blu. L'altra è posta in basso a destra e la frase è Happy Day, questa volta in colore arancione. Le frasi sono tagli fustellati in pergamena che provengono dalla collezione Flower Market. Usando questi due ritagli in vellum importanti, cioè che si fanno notare, ho fatto risaltare gli arancioni e i blu delle strisce, facendoli diventare i colori principali del layout. Ecco terminato il layout!
One last thing I'd like to mention, the inks. The color palette that best suits February challenge is composed by: Ballet Slipper, Apricot, Lemon Whip or Sunshine, Mint and Meadow. In my layout, I used some colors to make a layer of splatters underneath the strips. I used a few more colors than these, to match my rainbow. In particular, I used: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Peach Fuzz, Lemon Whip, Fresh Pear, Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Slumber, Soft Lilac. It's a soft rainbow color palette. Un' ultima cosa vorrei menzionare, gli inchiostri. La palette di colori che meglio si adatta alla sfida di febbraio è composta da: Ballet Slipper, Apricot, Lemon Whip or Sunshine, Mint and Meadow. Nel mio layout, ho usato dei colori per creare uno strato di schizzi sotto le strisce. Ho usato alcuni colori in più rispetto a questi, per abbinarli al mio arcobaleno. In dettaglio, io ho usato: Ballet Slipper, Sparkling Rose, Peach Fuzz, Lemon Whip, Fresh Pear, Ocean Breeze, Aquamarine, Slumber, Soft Lilac. È una morbida tavolozza di colori arcobaleno. Se ti piacciono i colori pastello, sentiti libero di fare riferimento a questo elenco per i tuoi progetti futuri.
