Spellbinders | New collection Celebrate the season - Striped Card

I am sharing another card featuring Balsam & Berries stamp from Celebrate The Season July collection by Spellbinders an it is made out of paper scraps only!

The idea came from all the colorful paper scraps set on my table, after making some postcards. The postcards I’m talking about are the one made with Balsam & Berries stamp and published on the blog a few days ago. You can find them here.

Backgrounds made of stripes are very popular lately and it’s not my idea but, from time to time, I enjoy creating with previous projects leftover, it gives me a sense of wast less.

L'idea è nata da tutti gli scarti di carta colorati sparsi sul mio tavolo, dopo aver fatto alcune cartoline. Le cartoline di cui sto parlando sono quelle realizzate con il timbro Balsam & Berries e pubblicate sul blog pochi giorni fa. Puoi trovarle qui. 

Gli sfondi fatti di strisce sono molto popolari ultimamente e non è una mia idea ma, di tanto in tanto, mi piace creare con gli avanzi di progetti precedenti, mi dà un senso di minor spreco.

Then, after noticing the stripes and the harmony of their colors, I glued them to a white card-stock of 4.25 x 5.30 inches. I glued the strips diagonally, to give some movement to the drawing. Among the colored stripes, I also inserted a white one. This is a 0.3mm height card-stock, therefore is higher than the colored stripes. On it, I stamped the sentiment Merry Wishes, using gold embossing powder.

As a finishing touch, I added some clear bubbles and voilà!

Quindi, dopo aver notato le strisce e l’armonia dei loro colori, le ho incollate ad un cartoncino bianco di 4,25 x 5,30 pollici. Ho incollato le strisce in diagonale, per dare un po’ di movimento al disegno. Fra le strisce colorate, ne ho inserita anche una bianca. Quest’ultima è un ritaglio di cartoncino di 0.3 mm e quindi è più alto delle strisce colorate. Su di esso ho timbrato il sentiment Merry Wishes, usando polvere per embossing color oro.

Come tocco finale, ho aggiunto qualche bubble trasparente e voilà!
