I have another Christmas in July card to share with you, featuring the beautiful Ice Skate Etched Dies from the new Winter Garden collection by Spellbinders.

Ho un altro biglietto natalizio da condividere con te con la bellissima fustella Ice Skate della nuova collezione Winter Garden di Spellbinders.

I kept the card very simple because I wanted the Ice Skate to be the star of the show. I chose a Christmas color scheme, with a red background and the Ice Skate in white for a realistic look. For an even more realistic look, I gave the Ice Skate a 3D effect, layering a different number of cuts to the different parts of the Ice Skate itself. 

Now, Ice Skate Etched die is made of a unique metal piece, so that in one single cut you have the ice skate done. It is very convenient if you want to create a quick card or in case of mass production.

Ho mantenuto il biglietto molto semplice e pulito, perché volevo che il Pattino fosse il protagonista indiscusso della card. Ho scelto una combinazione di colori natalizi, con uno sfondo rosso e il Pattino in bianco per un look realistico. Per un aspetto ancora più realistico, ho dato al Pattino un effetto 3D, stratificando un numero diverso di tagli alle diverse parti del Pattino stesso.

Ora, Ice Skate Etched die è una fustella composta da un unico pezzo di metallo, così che in un unico taglio si abbia il Pattino bello che pronto. È molto conveniente se si vuole creare una card velocemente o in caso di produzione in serie.

To make the Ice Skate with card-stock of different colors, I cut the different sections of the Ice Skate with a precision knife. It was sufficient to follow the detail lines embossed on the card-stock by the die to know where to cut. In particular, I used 7 layers of white card-stock for the shoe, 4 layers + 1 in kraft card-stock and last, 2 + 1 in silver for the blade.

As a last touch I added a pink string for the shoelace and voilà!

Per realizzare il Pattino con cartoncini di diversi colori, semplicemente ne ho diviso le varie parti con un cutter, seguendo le linee dell’embossatura impresse sul cartoncino dalla fustella. In particolare, ho usato 7 strati di cartoncino bianco per creare lo scarponcino del Pattino, 4 strati + 1 in cartoncino kraft per il tacco e la suola e 2 + 1 in cartoncino argento per la lama del Pattino.

Come ultimo tocco, ho aggiunto  un cordoncino rosa per il laccetto e voilà!

For the sentiment I went with the same layered style. I used new Merry Glimmer Sentiments hot foil plates and dies. It’s a set with elegant words greetings related, in a beautiful cursive  font.

I foiled the words Season Greetings with gold foil on pink card-stock and cut them with the their dies.

Last, I adhered the red front panel to a light pink card-stock, slightly larger and glued it to a white A2 size card.

Per il sentimento sono andato con lo stesso stile stratificato. Ho usato nuovi piatti e matrici a caldo Merry Glimmer Sentiments. È un set con eleganti saluti di parole, in un bellissimo carattere corsivo.

Ho foilizzato le parole Season Greetings con foil oro su cartoncino rosa e le ho tagliate con le loro fustelline. 

Infine, ho incollato il pannello rosso della card ad uno rosa tenue leggermente più largo e il tutto incollato ad una card bianca di misura A2.
