Nuovo mese e nuovo racconto - anche se un po' ho barato - dei My 12 Tales of 2022 de Il Negozio della Mamma di Cle.

My 12 Tales June kit is a riot of flowers. Two of the three pattern papers have beautiful designs that stand out firmly on the sheet. I wanted to enhance them even more so, I decided to try this fun technique: embroidery on paper.

Il kit di giugno dei My 12 Tales è un tripudio di fiori. Due delle tre carte pattern hanno dei bellissimi disegni che spiccano decisi sul foglio. Volevo valorizzarli ancora di più, così ho deciso di provare questa tecnica divertente: il ricamo su carta.

Particularly, I chose the paper that has two flower bouquet at the two opposite corner of the paper.

I used different stitching, like back stitch and french knot, following the design of the flowers. I used DMC Mouliné threads that I had in my stash (I used to cross stitch once), matching the color of the threads to the colors of the design.

In particolare, ho scelto la carta che ha due bouquet di fiori ai due angoli opposti del foglio.

Ho utilizzato diverse cuciture, come il punto indietro e il nodo francese, seguendo il disegno dei fiori. Ho usato i fili DMC Mouliné che avevo già in casa (una volta ricamavo a punto croce), abbinando il colore dei fili ai colori del disegno.

With the die-cuts from the kit I created two more bouquets, overlapping flowers and leaves and placed them one next to the photo and the other at the bottom.

Con i ritagli del kit ho creato altri due bouquet, sovrapponendo fiori e foglie e li ho posizionati uno accanto alla foto e l'altro in basso.

I fussy cut one of the washi tape stripe from the cut out sheet and I printed on it a phrase from the Stamp set of the kit, using black Versafine ink.

Ho tagliato una striscia di washi tape dal foglio dei ritagliabili e ho timbrato su di essa una frase dal set di timbri del kit, usando l'inchiostro neroVersafine.

For the title, I stamped the phrase onto a scrap of white paper and then I carefully fussy cut it. The word Flowers instead, is stamped in pink directly on the layout. In addition to two different colors, I combined two different writing fonts to make the title stands out. These are two sets of very old stamps, the first from Concord & 9th and the second is a Studio Calico one.

Per il titolo, ho timbrato la frase su un pezzo di carta bianca e poi l'ho ritagliata con cura. La scritta Flowers invece, è timbrata in rosa direttamente sul layout. Oltre a due colori diversi, ho combinato due diversi caratteri di scrittura per far risaltare il titolo. Si tratta di due serie di timbri molto vecchiotti, il primo di Concord & 9th e il secondo è uno Studio Calico.

Even the photo I chose is a riot of flowers! When I said at the beginning of the post that I cheated, I was referring precisely to the photo. In fact, it dates back to the end of April, and not to June. June was a busy month at work and there weren't many opportunities for nights out. Despite everything, I wanted to dedicate this layout to my friends who always manage to cheer me up, like flowers.

Anche la foto che ho scelto è un tripudio di fiori! Quando all'inizio dicevo che ho barato, mi riferivo proprio alla foto. Infatti risale a fine aprile scorso, e non a giugno. Giugno è stato un mese impegnativo sul lavoro e non ci sono state molte occasioni di svago. Nonostante tutto, volevo dedicare questo layout alle mie amiche che riescono sempre a tirarmi su di morale, come i fiori.
