French Knot Embroidery on Letters - Ricamo a Nodo Francese su Lettere | Spellbinders

I have another card to share with you, featuring Spellbinders May release 'Stitched Alphabet' dies because, hey! stitching is fun! So, let's get started!

Ciao e bentornato sul mio blog, I Need Confetti!

Ho un'altra carta da condividere con te, fatta con la release di maggio di Spellbinders, le fustelle "Stitched Alphabet" perché be', cucire è divertente! Quindi, iniziamo!

First thing first, the size. The card measures 3.5 x 8.25 inches, about 9 x 21 cm and the front panel is in black card stock paired with gold thread for the stitching.

For the sentiment I opted for the word 'love', made up of single letters 'l', 'o', 'v', 'e', ​​then assembled. Click on each letter to view it on the Spellbinders website.

Each letter has its own border, which I cut out from a sheet of gold glitter. The letter 'l', which is the tallest, measures approximately 1.25 x 2.25 inches, 3 x 5,5 cm, including the border. The letter 'v' is the largest and measures approximately 1.75 x 1.5 inches, 4,5 x 4 cm. The other letters, which are round in shape, measure approximately 1.5 inches, 4 cm.

That said, now the fun part: the stitching!

Primissima cosa, le dimensioni. La card, il biglietto, misura 3,5 x 8,25 pollici, circa 9 x 21 cm e il pannello frontale è in cartoncino nero accoppiato con filo d'oro per le cuciture.

Per il sentiment ho scelto la parola 'love', composta da lettere singole 'l', 'o', 'v', 'e', poi assemblate. Clicca su ciascuna lettera per visualizzarla sul sito Spellbinders. 

Ogni lettera ha il suo bordino, che ho ritagliato in fommy glitter oro. La lettera 'l', che è la più alta, misura circa 1,25 x 2,25 pollici, circa 3 x 5x5 cm, compreso il bordo. La lettera "v" è la più grande e misura circa 1.75 x 1.5 pollici, circa 4,5 x 4 cm. Le altre lettere, che sono di forma rotonda, misurano circa 1.5 pollici, 4 cm.

Detto questo, ora la parte divertente: le cuciture!

The first card I made with Stitched Alphabet dies featured a basic stitching, simply going in and out the holes made by the die. You can see this previous card here. This time I wanted to go a step further and a tried a real embroidery stitch, the french knot. As you can see in the photo, in the central hole of each embroidery there is a chubby knot, that's where I embroidered the French knot. I think it's a beautiful detail that adds interest to the final project.

La prima carta che ho realizzato con le fustelle Stitched Alphabet presentava una cucitura di base, fatta  semplicemente entrando e uscendo dai fori creati dalla fustella. Puoi vedere la mia precedente card qui.

Questa volta ho voluto fare un passo avanti e ho provato un vero punto da ricamo, il nodo francese. Come puoi notare nella foto, nel foro centrale di ciascun ricamo c'è un nodino cicciotto, lì è dove ho ricamato il nodino francese. Penso che sia un bel dettaglio che aggiunge interesse al progetto finale.
